Altitude of a Cylinder Definition
The altitude or height of a cylinder is the distance between the bases of a cylinder. It is the shortest line segment between the (possibly extended) bases. Altitude can also be used to refer to the specific length of this segment. The altitude of a cylinder is illustrated in the diagram below.
