Altitude of a Trapezoid Definition
The altitude or height of a trapezoid is the distance between the two bases of a trapezoid. It is the shortest line segment between the bases. Altitude can also be used to refer to the specific length of this segment. The altitude of a trapezoid is illustrated in the diagram below.
