The parker is a unit of radiation exposure named after Herbert Parker. The rep (rep) is equivalent to the parker. The parker is the absorbed energetic dose before the biological efficiency of the radiation is factored in. The parker has variously been defined as 83 or 93 ergs (erg) per gram (g) of tissue (8.3/9.3 mGy) or per cubic centimeter (cm3) of tissue. The parker is represented by the symbol parker.
