Not getting enough sleep is associated with the following risks:
Issues with concentration and or remembering things.
Increased stress and headaches.
Digestive issues.
Depression and anxiety.
Neoplasms and Alzheimers disease.
Diabetes, hypertension and other heart related diseases.
Its important to note however that getting too much sleep can also come with its own risks. The table below shows the approximate increase in mortality at various sleep times:
